byJamie Z.

Everyone wants to have pop culture figures that they feel they can identity with and that’s why many members of the LGBT collective will seek out movies and tv shows that showcase LGBT characters. Who among us hasn’t watched a production just because we heard there were lesbians in it? I decided to put together a guide of LGBT ladies in TV for anyone who is looking for some characters they can relate to. These aren’t in any particular command and I may very well possess missed some (feel free to comment and tell me if I did!) Also, SPOILERS.You hold been warned.

Main Characters/Long-Term Lesbians (aka shows where girl-on-girl is more than just an episodic plot device)

The L Word

The L Word had to be first on this list. 6 seasons (5 if you’re prefer me and prefer to pretend the last one never happened) of incredible lesbian story-lines that we hate to love and care to hate. The L Word was revolutionary when it comes to LGBT representation on TV and will always hold a tall spot in the collective lesbian heart for that reason. Also: Shane.

I should also mention that this show spawned

How do I launch to describe the experience of crawling through the desert of my broken mind in hunt of queer characters for this month’s streaming guide, I suppose I could begin by calling it difficult, while also educational! When there’s nothing large to center the guide around, I am forced to look deeply into every single business in the entire universe in hunt of a bit lesbian character and it turns out many of them have been here all along! But often in ways that are caring of ambiguous, not important enough for us to realize about it until this month’s research… and in most cases, I can’t figure out if they’re gonna undertake anything else male lover in the future. One can only pray.

That said, September is a month with some fine stuff coming your way in general, even though that stuff is not centered on lgbtq+ women, including stuff with gay male characters and stuff starring queer female actors. Normally I wouldn’t even bring up this stuff but… desperate times! There’s gonna be three (3) Ryan Murphy projects such as horror show Grotesquerie, starring out actors Neicy Nash-Betts and Micaela Diamond, which debuts September 25th on FX. W

BEST BRITISH COMEDY SERIES': My Top 100 Pom-Coms

by NozinAroun81 • Created 12 years ago • Modified 6 years ago

PLEASE NOTE: The first 20 titles are my top 20 in alphabetical order... and therefore no particular order. It's way too hard to play favourites. The main reason that I compiled the list this way is because whichever title is #1 on the list will instantly get the thumbnail for the list... and I really don't want the thumbnail to be ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS... because it's a bit gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that :p Real men are totally allowed to delight in Ab Fab. Let's meet it, essentially it's about two middle-aged women who love getting drunk and/or high. What's not to like? ;D

I'm constantly investigating Pom-Com's that may or may not prove to be worthy of my precious list. Whenever I discover a new gem, the first ones to be omitted from this list will be the old shows that don't really stand the assess of time, the shows that were tragically axed after only one series and the shows featuring Rik & Ade that only made the list because I'm a die-hard fan of THE New ONES who was clutching at straws and who w
