Amsterdam Pride
The Pride March takes place as usual on the first Saturday of the Pride celebrations, this year on July 26 at 11am. Participants accumulate together in the town centre, finishing at Event Park (Vondelpark). During Event in 1977, the International Lesbian Alliance organised the first-ever Dutch Pride March.
Pride Park
Pride Park has its home in Vondelpark on Saturday, July 26. Don't miss out because there's so much happening in the park: there's the open-air theatre, the Youth Pride event, sporting events, performances, art and so much more.
Open Air Cinema
At Mercatorplein on July 30-31 and at Gershwinplein on August 1, there are open-air cinemas, each with 400 seats. Films are shown from 6pm-12am. And they are completely free!

Pride Amsterdam is a festival to mark that you can 'be who you are, treasure who you want'. This festival is mainly famous by the LHBTQI group from the last Saturday in July until the first Sunday in August and consists of several components. The most well-known part is the Canal Parade, in which a procession of 80 boats cruise through the waters of Amsterdam for 2 hours, which is visited by hundreds of thousands of colourfully dressed visitors. Other parts of the Pride are: Pride Amble, Pride Park, Open Gas Cinema, Senior Pride Concert, All Colours East, Treasure Swim, street parties and a closing party. The parade kicks off around 12:00 PM at the Scheepvaartmuseum (Maritime Museum), in the eastern part of the city centre. From there, the boats will sail along the Amstel River, continuing onto the Prinsengracht, and concluding near the Westerdok.
Please note: First boats reach the initiate of the Prinsengracht approximately 30-60 after the official start.

The parade road stretches several kilometers, offering many fantastic spots to observe the spectacle. However, it gets extremely busy—especially on bridges and quays—so prepare to arrive early.
Popular viewing locations:
- Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge): a scenic early direct on the path. Boats arrive here soon after the start.
- Along the entire Prinsengracht: great views and occasional shady spots.
- Eenhoornsluis: at the end of the route, offering terrific photo opportunities.
