Big gay ice cream shop west village
If you like rainbows, unicorns and ice cream (and if you don’t, what is wrong with you?) you’ll affectionate Big Gay Ice Cream Shop.
Big Lgbtq+ Ice Cream is a Brand-new York institution for unique, fun frozen desserts. After the colossal popularity of its food truck in 2009, and appearing on several food TV shows, spin-off shops finally opened in September 2011 in New York City’s East Village, followed by a West Village location a year later, becoming the most hyped ice cream shops in the city. There is definitely better ice cream in Novel York (hello, gelato?), but Big Gay is the best for its innovative take on old-school (boring) soft-serve, creating cool and unique ice creams, toppings, and frozen treats. Think Mister Softee on major steroids! 😛
Sugar Rush deals on weekdays 2pm-6pm: $2 for a mini cone!
The gentle serve itself is good – but Big Gay Ice Cream is all about the toppings and innovative concoctions. Each recipe has a fun, catchy call (the owners are clearly fans of Golden Girls) and the most delectable mix of sweet and salty ingredients. They make shakes, floats, and a petty selection of ice cream sandwiches, but the best menu items are their dipped cone

The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop has taken over the soft-serve ice cream market in New York, with multiple storefronts and food trucks around the city. With many flavors and toppings to prefer from, there are delicious options for everyone. Plus, the ever changing seasonal flavors are the matchless excuse to have ice cream any day of the year.
If you stop into a store, make sure to try the “Salty Pimp” and “Bae Arthur”, two fan favorites. Or try a simple soft-serve and sprinkle combo for a classic, creamy treat.
Big Gay Ice Cream Shop
The East Village's beloved soft-serve purveyor expands with a larger West Village branch. Three ice-cream machines dispense standard flavors, like vanilla and chocolate, as good as seasonal favorites such as pumpkin or peppermint. Other frozen treats, including ice-cream cakes and pies, are available all afternoon, while early risers can find pastries and coffee. As at the first location, campy decor—rainbows, crystals and unicorns—adds sparkle to the 16-seat shop's interior.
