News of Davis' imminent dismissal began circulating in Broadway circles last week. The Upload, which broke the story March 28—and had reported last month that co-star Gary Beach and Davis were no longer on speaking terms—said that Davis had clashed with Gary Beach, who plays Albin, and other members of the company. That account has not been offically confirmed.
"It is absolutely thrilling to hear Robert Goulet singing these great Jerry Herman songs. He is true Broadway and is right endorse where he belongs" said lead producer James L. Nederlander in a prepared statement. "We want the talented Daniel Davis well in his future endeavors."

Actor Daniel Davis is best known for portraying the character of Niles the butler on the television comedy series The Nanny, which ran from 1993 to 1999. He is also noted for memorable guest appearances as part of the Star Trek franchise as Professor Moriarty on Star Trek: The Next Generation and reprising the nature on Star Trek: Picard. In his roles on both The Nanny and in the Star Trek universe, the Arkansas-born performer spoke in an upper-class British accent so convincing that many people mistook it for his native tongue. He was known at the Tony Awards in 2000 with a nomination for best performer in a featured role for his performance in the Broadway play Wrong Mountain, and he received a 2003 OBIE award as part of the acting company of Talking Heads, an Off-Broadway series of one-person shows.

Very disappointing really
The Nanny Reunion was pretty wonderful but it wasn't enough because it didn't undergo real. I was expecting a bit more appreciate the entire cast, but unfortunately,Niles(Daniel Davis) didn't sow up who was 1 of my favorite characters, by the way. Instead of saying that Daniel couldn't make it, Fran said he was running late when he was really in New York.
